Plot:

• In Stolen tragedies link two fathers, living in the same town some 50 years apart. Each man abandoned his young son for a brief moment, never to see him again. The movie surrounding them is every bit the unpleasant slog one might expect, glum and murkily shot, wallowing in pedantic histrionics and badly lacking the breathing room it desperately needs. Eight years after the mysterious disappearance of his 10-year-old son, Detective Tom Adkins (Jon Hamm) stumbles onto a case that has eerie parallels to his own-a young father (Josh Lucas), a missing son, an unidentified abductor and a trail of identical clues. But this abduction happened in 1958, and Tom sifts through gruesome, decades-old evidence-like the newly discovered remains of a boy in a long-buried box-to help him find answers, and end his torment.
